Last May 22, 2024, different sectors gathered at the Manila Film Center and, afterward, the Senate of the Philippines to reject Marcos Jr.'s oppressive and foreign-serving Charter Change. They demand the government focus on supporting local and national industries instead of relying on foreign investments. Workers' groups insist that addressing issues like contractualization, job shortages, and low wages should take priority over Charter Change. They marched together and asserted their refusal to be deceived by the administration's narrative that Charter Change would benefit workers and the Filipino people. Aside from this, they also call out that Charter Change is unnecessary to give justice against human rights violations.

Egay Cabalitan, Deputy Secretary General for Campaigns of PAHRA spoke during the program in front of the Manila Film Center. On top of the statement of other groups present during the program, he added the calls for the government to take accountability against human rights violations committed during the previous and the current regime, “‘Wag unahin, ‘wag galawin, ‘wag baguhin ang ating saligang batas. Ang kailangan po natin ay panagutin ang dapat managot.”
