Partido Lakas ng Masa joined the protest against the ongoing genocide in Gaza, invasion and bombing of Camp Rafah

On May 28, 2024, Partido Lakas ng Masa (PLM) joined with other people's organizations and ordinary citizens to protest the ongoing genocide in Gaza, as well as the invasion and bombing of Camp Rafah -- the latest fascistic barbarity of the Israeli Occupation Forces.
Reihana Mohideen, head of PLM International gave a speech covering the following points:
a. The entire international political system is complicit, heavily influenced and controlled by the US and northern imperialist powers.
b. The global power standing up to Genocide is the international Palestinian solidarity movement, the mass anti-war, anti-imperialist movement led by youth and students.
c. In Israel, fascists are in power. This is their program. Zionism is institutionalized apartheid. It is today’s fascism. Herut Party, precursor of Likud Party was ‘closely akin’ to Nazi and other fascist parties. Bezalel Smotrich as both Finance Minister and, strangely, Minister of Defence describes himself as a ‘fascist homophobe’, Avigdor Lieberman, Minister for transport, calls for ‘ethnic purity’ and the ‘expulsion of Arabs’. Well known fascists.
d. The state of "Israel" must be dismantled.
e. Palestinian people have the right to self-defense. What would you do in Gaza, today or over the last few years?
f. Our own government should break diplomatic relations and adopt sanctions against Israel. Ceasefire and sanctions helped bring apartheid in South Africa to its knees.
g. Impunity of Israel actions because of backing of the U.S. and other imperialist countries. We should expose the US as responsible for the genocide. The US preserves its global hegemony as the leading military industrial power today. This is what’s dictating the international geopolitical situation today -- the U.S. determination to maintain its military-industrial super power hegemony.
All the imperialist countries are on board and have decided to back this as it’s also in their interest. This is ultimately driving the genocide too.
US can stop it but it won’t -- it is simply not in its interest. Hegemony in the Middle East has been a historic objective of all imperialist powers.
h. The US pivot to Asia also drives the situation in our region. US pivot to Asia and the militarisation in this region — from nuclear powered weapons and missiles, US bases, joint military agreements, AUKUS etc.
This is the central imperative driving the push for war against China too.
As we campaign against militarism, war and for peace in our region we need to understand this. Our struggle here against US-led imperialist war has implications for the struggle worldwide. If we manage to achieve peace in the region this will be a big win for the anti-imperialist movement internationally.
I. To win peace will not be easy. We will need support and solidarity.
The emergent new anti-imperialist anti-war movement, led by the youth is a big plus.
We need to identify with and join this global power.
We need to struggle against our own elite. BBM and the rest. All of them.
It’s all connected. Struggle for a free Palestine, against imperialist wars, against our own elite rulers.
Anti-imperialist solidarity is key.
In our hundreds, in our millions, we are all Palestinians!
